Re: palpitations

hello, I have suddenly got an attack, with no palpitations, but I started
to sweat and shake. A panic attack. But attacks got heavier, and I started
to get palpitations, it even got that bad, that I had several each minute.
So I went to the hospital, and got ECG, echo, bike, scanner and blood test.
Nothing was wrong. So I got a 24h ECG holter, and again nothing was wrong.
A couple of months later, the situation wasn't changed, and again, I went
to the hospital where I had those test all over again. Same result, nothing
wrong. I spent 2 weeks there, the first day lying there with a telemetry-
hart rate machine, that sent my signals directly to a computer in a room,
and that would alarm of there was something wrong. I had several strange
hartrhythms, palpitations and attacks during that time, but no doctor ever
came to say that there was something wrong. Then I got again a Holter 24h
ECG. I had several Palpitations and serious attacks during that time,
but again no doctor came to say that there was something wrong. So they
said that I suffered panic attacks. So I had relaxation exercises and
even a psych. But as today, palpitations never stopt, strange rhythms never
went away, the attacks did, but the palpitations also didn't go away.
I finf it very frustrating those extrasystoles and palpitations. What can
I do to make them go away??? I also have alot of chest pains, usually the
chest where my heart is, am I becoming crazy??? I took Inderal, but it didn't had any results. Now I take Xanax to help me calm down, and this is better, but again, palpitations and stuff didn't go away? Why, is it just stress?? Where did I get it?? I'm 18 years old, never have been ill before,
do not smoke or drink alcohol and my cholesterol is very low.
thx

Dear Frederick,
Thank you for your question.  AS you can see from the postings below yours many people suffer from these same type of symptoms.  There are many suggestions for dealing with palpitations which you can find by reading through the archives but no good "cures".  Perhaps in the future we will have a better understanding of why some people react so violently to PVC's and other palpitations.
Hope you find this information useful.   Information provided here is for educational purposes only.  Only your doctor can make diagnoses and recommend treatment.
