the doctors tried treat me with Asperin, Colchicin, Artofen,
VoltarenVoltaren
Voltaren ophthalmic
Voltaren topical
Voltaren-xr,
Mesolid etc. in order to decrese the steroids amount but nothin helped.
each time I got an episode.
I alredy got Osteoperozis as a result of the
prednisonePrednisone
Prednisone anhydrous and many other
sideaffacts.
I know you don't give a treatment in this site, but I thought you might
know of a new medicine that I can suggest my doctors,
and I also wanted to know if you heard of a case that kept for 5 years.
my past history is: 1.1991 - excision of left rib due to fibrodysplasia
3.1991 - cholecystetomy for choleithiasis
4.1993 acute viral hepatitis
thank you very much, I will be very happy if you could help me

Dear Shelly,
I am sorry that you have this recurrent problem that requires steroids, however at present
I know of no trials or up and coming drugs designed specifically for those patients with
this unfortunate problem (it is pretty uncommon as you may already know, i.e. the recurrent form
of pericarditis.)
I would suggest however that if not already done, have a second opinion for treatment by someone
highly skilled in immunology and rheumatology ( this is a rare physician and likely only to be found
at a major university center.)
I hope this information is useful. Information provided in the heart forum is for
general purposes only. Only your physician can provided specific diagnoses and therapies.
Feel free to write back with further questions. Good luck!
