The response regarding peripartum cardiomyopathy treatment was most alarming.  I have never seen such a negative statistic quoted before (survival average 4.7 years if not returning to normal within 6 months.)  I am a peripartum CM patient who began improving slowly after 4 months, now at EF average 45% after one year.  I have been given a good prognosis, even though I am nt up to the normal range.
Why is your prognosis so negative?  Should I be seeking more information to prepare myself and my family for a serious deterioration in my condition within less than ten years?
