Recovery after bypass -apical septum severely hypokinetic

Hi ,

My father had a MI 6 months back,it was anterior MI, and had a triple bypass surgery 3 months back. When we went for a review now, the doctor took ecgs and echocardio test, and said the condition has improved. The LVEF has risen to 40 from 37.
The results of the echo were as follows :

RMWA present  apical sseptum thinned out and severely hypokinetic, apex apical, lateral, apical inferior, mid and apical anteriorhypokinetic ,septum paradoxical, moderate LV systolic
dysfunction, type 1 diastolic dysfunction, mild mr

The doctors have given digoxin and losartan drugs for improvement and told things are normal and he can return to normal life.

Please advice on what the Echo results indicate. Is anything wrong as many parts are hypokinetic. Can it lead to any other probs?

It can, but he is under the care of a cardiologist, on the appropriate medications and his condition is improving, which is promising.  I know that hypokenesis is pretty much a standard finding when there is systolic dysfunction, though I don't claim to know much more than that.  I would assume that as he continues to improve there will probably be improvement in the heart overall.  It will be important to take his medical care seriously, follow all of the doctors' advice and take steps to stay healthy.
