I was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy a little over a year ago. They said it's pretty mild and we've refrained from Beta Blockers for fear that the side effects could be worse than the actual symptoms. I have always had the random spurs of feeling just plain terrible, lightheaded, chest pain, and shortness of breath; however, for the past 5 days it's been significantly worse. I am so lightheaded I can barely walk around, it's a lot harder to breath than normal, I'm having chest pain, feeling weak, and having occasional headaches and nausea. I doubt it's some type of virus, because it's not like anything I've ever felt in a virus before. My blood pressure and heart rate have been relatively normal, as well as my rhythm. Do you think this is related: my cardiomyopathy and how I've been feeling? I've never had the symptoms from the Cardiomyopathy for such a prolonged period of time before.
