Results of SPECT/Cardiolite Stress Test

Hi,

Can you please tell me what these results mean from a Cardiolite Stress Test I had done? (The cardiologist was too busy today to go over them with me). Does it mean I have heart disease?  I know the ejection fraction is low. Thank you!

"The overall quality of the study is good.  There is evidence of abnormal lung activity: Stress and rest SPECT images demonstrate diffuse decrease in myocardial uptake. Gated SPECT imaging reveals abnormal myocardial thickening and wall motion.  The left ventricular ejection fraction was 35%.

You may have some thickening of the heart muscle.
I'd certainly question why your cardiologist didn't have time to discuss this with you.  If he/she had an emergency, hopefully he/she made an appointment to discuss the diagnosis carefully with you.
