Rt sided chest pain

by brandi, Dec 11, 1999 12:00AM
Hi, I'm a 25yr old female with no major health problems other than Gerd,a hiatal hernia, and mild mvp.I have had many ekgs,2holter monitors, and 2echos. My last ekg was in July.  However, for about the last week straight, I have been getting little sharp pains in my chest but they are more to the right side of my chest. They don't last but a couple secs but they do seem to go on all day. All of my earlier tests have been normal other than mvp. My last echo was about 2yrs ago. Do you think this could be cardiac? Should I get another echo? I am on Prilosec for the GERD. Thank you,Brandi

Dear Brandi,

This is very unlikely to be cardiac.  I would discuss this with your internist.  It is likely to be musculoskeletal.
