First I would like to thank you all again for the wonderful site like this.
I was having this SVT for about almost 9 mos. now and currently on Cardizem 120MG and Atenolol 25MG for the past couple of months I've been getting SVT attacks almost everyday, the following are the caused of each attacks (driving in the freeway alone esp. traffic, work stress, shopping in the store and sometimes seeing a dentist) all these last for more than 30 seconds to 5 minutes then I was seen by a counselor and suggested to see a Psychatrist who can tell if I'm suffering from Panic Disorder which she thinks that it could be because she used to treat patient with SVT but actually wasn't an SVT at all. Since I met this Psychatrist month ago I've learned to cope with my Anxiety/Panic that really helps me to understand on my body reaction as well as mind and now I have not been to any SVT attack so far since I've talked to this Psychatrist. So my Question is, Is it possible to some Patients with SVT (no heart disease, ekg fine, blood test normal, holter monitor normal and stress test normal) to misdiagnosed by a Specialist or a Cardiologist? Is it really a Panic Attacks that which most Patients thought that it's their Heart but actually their Minds. Thanks so much for the time.
