I was told I had SVT and a leakage in my arota 25 yrs ago and meds seem to work for awhile but now are longer working and my Doctor would like me to have an ablation procedure done to correct it.Is this safe and will I still have the problem?

How long does this procedure take and what is pre-op was told I need to go through pre-op 1 week prior to ablation?

Hi there.  For SVT, the ablation procedure is among the most successful, around 97% I believe.  Usually, it is curative, which means you would no longer experience the arrythmia.  Sending you best wishes!
