Sharp pinching in & around my heart. SCARY

I'm a 26yr old female and I always got this pinching feeling in my heart but very sporadically and rarely. Withing the last few months it's intensified. It happens at least 5 times a day and the pain is more intense and lasts longer. It feels like there is a pinching in & directly around my heart. 1 out of 3 times the pain travels to my left shoulder/neck and arm (forearm). The pain intensifies when I take in a deep breath. I finally got scared enough where I called my Doc but he was on a 2 week vacation so I saw his associate and I felt like he didn't take me serious and blame it on anxiety. He set me up with a 24 hour heart rhythm monitor but he hasn't got the result. I know it's not anxiety. It's most intense when I am completely relaxes. Especially when I'm sleeping. It wakes me up. I'll out cold and I'll feel like someone has taken a wire and held it to my heart and it jolts me. It makes me jump out of a deep sleep. It gets very painful. Any ideas. I'm starting to get very scared. Today it started at 4:45 and now it's 5:30 and the pain hasn't stopped. A month or so ago it would last for a few seconds now it can last for and hour. My mother has Tachycardia, and a lot of my family on my mothers side get palpatations. I do have a history of opiate IV drug use but it's been 2 years. ANY IDEAS????

Please have your doctor refer you to a cardiologist so they can do a stress test. I had these same symptoms back around Jan of this yr and beleive me they don't get any better. I had an x-ray and a Ekg done and it did not show anything. When the stress test was done the problem showed up. I was snt to the hosp so that an heart cath could be done so that they could look at the arteries of my heart, and sure enough I had a medium artery that was 99 percent blocked and had to have a stint put in. Please doi let this continue with out treatment. I can tell you that women do not have the same symptoms for a heart attack as men. The symptoms are some what different. Hope this advise helps. Let me know how you come out.

Thanks for the input. Do you mind if I ask you your agw?  Because I know it's quite rare for someone my age to have a blocked artery.
