Should I be feeling pace maker firing?

Just recently had AV node ablation for persistent and continuous afib that did not respond to any drug for very long and always came back after cardioversion.  I previously had a pace maker, dual chamber.  Now I am totally pace maker dependent with pacing only in the ventrical.  I am wondering about why I am now feeling fast clicks of the pace maker just below my breast. I never felt the pacer before the AV node ablation.  I am also short of breath with activity...walking for exercise or biking. The pacer was set at 70 to 110.

You may have what is known as pacemaker syndrome, a common problem with single lead pacemakers. It is caused by contraction of the ventricle or atrium across a closed valve, and is caused by the two chambers not talking to each other.
