Should I get a pacemaker per Cardiologist's recommendations? About a year ago I adopted a healthier lifestyle, lost 30lbs, and began running. I'm a 35 year old male and weigh 165lbs. I have a resting HR ~50bpm and began to experience lightheadedness, particularly after strenuous exercise. 24-hour Holter monitor showed HR ~20 during sleep and some 5-7 sec. pauses. I am currently wearing a 30 day event monitor and my MD says I also had A-Flutter and many pauses. He says he cannot think of a link between exercise and pauses and believes it's just coincidence. What do you think?
