I've been gathering my EKGAtrioventricular block, ekg tracing Ecg Exercise stress test reports from the past 15 some years.
I've found that during 18 of 26 of them, dating back to 1991, including the last 2 I had on 6/28/07 and 7/7/07, I was experiencing Sinus Arrhythmia.
I know sinus arrhythmia is a normalNormal saline flush event, especially in children and young adults, but I also recall a few docs telling me that it's actually a sign of good health (especially in an older adult) and it shows that your vagal tone is high. My doctor at the time seemed to imply that high vagal tone was a "good thing".
I'm alittle lost though when it comes to good health/high vagal tone and PVCs now ...I have PVC's by the thousands most days and I had always thought that having a high vagal tone actually contributed to increased PVC activity, or am I mistaken and it's the other way around?
It's my understanding that changes in autonomicAutonomic nerves Autonomic neuropathy activity can affect how frequently PVC’s occur, or how prominent the sensation is when they do occur . So increases in either sympathetic or vagal tone may result in PVCs. In your case, it appears to have an underlying vagal basis.
