Skin Discoloration

I am 47, female, suffers from high blood pressure, diabetes and my doctor recently stated that i had a mild heart attact.  For the last 2 years my arms, neck and side of my face has been turning very very dark, is this a dangerous sign?

When you say "dark" it suggests to me "bluish", which is suggestive of inadequate oxygenation. Purchase a P02 meter that clips on to your fingernails. They have come down considerably in price. It is kind of an unusual symptom, and especially because it covers such a wide area and in places is not symmetric. The diagnosis "suffered a mild heart attack" is medically meaningless and constitutes gibberish. Request written copies of your medical records and don't be satisfied with  "lay" explanation. Sometimes cardiac insufficiency can produce a bluish color in the skin, particuliarly the lips and fingernail beds. I can't state an opinion as to whether or not this is dangerous. Certainly it would be psychologcially upsetting if it happened to me. Get your weight, diabetes and blood pressure under control That should be square one. I know it's hard and easier said than done.
