Skin on toes gets very sore

I have not been diagnosed with PAD, but am suspecting that could be the reason. I'm a 40 year old mom of two and for the last one month or so my toes get very sore with wearing shoes all day. It started with two new shoes that I bought that bothered me and now when i wear any of my old shoes as well they start bothering me. My big toe and small toe start getting very pink and start hurting/itching.

Want to mention that my feet are not cold at all as in PAD but i have noticed that my shins seem to have lost hair or have very little hair compared to the rest of my legs. I've never had hairy legs to begin with so it might just have always been that way but I just recently noticed and so have not shaved for a week now to see how the hair growth is. So far seems like my left leg has much less hair than the right. Could this foot discomfort be a sign of PAD?

Just a little history on me:

I have been convinced since the last ten years that i have heart disease and have had multiple tests done including multiple nuclear stress tests (all negative) and multiple stress echos (last one done less than a month ago) where i reached a heart rate of over 200 with no chest pain or discomfort. My heart rate did take a bit longer than usual I think to get down to normal (maybe 20 minutes). In short the results of that test were normal as well.

When will you have the test?  I know with me, that burning ache in the back of my thigh was unbelievably bad.  I would have to stop and rest the leg at times.  Made it hard to shop.  Take care and keep me posted after your test.  Ally

No, no fungus or gout. I have noticed now though that my left foot seems colder than the right and as I read that is another symptom of PAD. The left foot and ankle also seem to have fewer hair than the right and the left leg aches from time to time. All the symptoms are not sounding promising....I'm really worried.

I went to my primary care and he said that although he doesn't suspect PAD given my age and no other risks factors, i.e., I don't have high blood pressure or cholestrol, no family history, being fairly young and not overweight by any means. I'm five foot one and weigh 108 pounds. He still has ordered an ultra sound and he says it's only for my peace of mind. I hope that is the case.

I have PAD and the only symptom I noticed was a burning ache in the back of my thigh.  I walked around line that for 2 years before the foot went numb.  The numbness is wht sent me to the doctor.  By that time there was no pulse in that foot, the leg had actually shrunk an inch and a half too.  Have they suggested doing the doppler on your legs?
