Skipped Beats

by Maurice58, Apr 23, 2009 12:28PM
I have been taking Naproxen for many years to combat Deg Disc Disease in my neck and severe Tendonitis/Bursitis in my shoulders.  I have had numerous nights of skipped beats which my cardiologist tells me not to worry about, as I have a strong heart.  For two weeks I had none, then last night I took 500Mg of Naproxen for my inflammation.  I then had severe skipped beats during the night, and this morning I feel sluggish.  Is there a correlation between the two?

I don't think so. You probably have PACs which are driven not by the medication but by the pain and inflammation you are feeling. This can cause elevated catecholamines and increase the frequency of PACs or PVCs.
