I went to the cardioalguist he said I had a weak heart with a heart rate of 40. I have had my heart shocked once to get one lobe of back in rtymn. He recomends installing an Implantable Cardioverter - defibrillator. Is there any way I can strength my heart or should I do as he suggests? I have been on medication for eight months and it has made very little differance.
Have you been taking Lanoxin to strengthen your heart muscle? If so, and it has not made a change, then you should consider the defibrillator. The defibrillator will work when it has to. A defibrillator can save a life. My mom had a pacemaker and my husband's uncle has a defibrillator and is able to enjoy life.
