Slow heart beat waking up

My usual heartbeat throughout the day is kind of high.  In the 80's most of the time.  Sometimes i hit 90's.  I do smoke alot and have anxiety.  I would say my heart beat is in the normal range, cause i had a holter moniter test. and all the doctor said was very good.  Nothing specific
My question is.  When I wake up from sleep.  My heart rate seems very low.  Lower then 60 beats a minute i believe.   It only is this low when i first wake up, then when im up my beat returns to its usual 70-90 bpm rate.    Is this something that i should be concerned about?   I also get skipped beats from time to time out of no where..  that was the reason why I got the holter monitor. now im just examining every aspect of my heart.

thanks for your comments. I probably sound annoying or a hypochondriac..  Its just that i havent been feeling very good lately and im trying to figure out whats going on.  Most people who know me keep tellin me i have anxiety and that anxiety runs in my family not heart problems.  But i dont know.  Sometimes i cant accept the way i feel is just in my mind.

did you know that SLEEP is good for your heart?!

it is the time your heart rests too!!
your blood pressure is lower also and your heart beats slow cause you are not moving. your heart is resting and gearing up for those days of go go going. that is another reason its important to get 7-8 hrs of sleep, you might think you dont need it casue your not tired but your heart needs it.

dont worry about it. its very natural to have a slow even resting heart rate when you are at the couch and then have ti go up to 80-90bpm when you get up abd walk around the kitchen to do something.

Yeah i def am a nuerotic, so much so that its giving me anxiety and making me feel like I am dieing alot of times.   The main reason why im worried about my heart is these damn weird sensations.  i feel a contraction or something then a pause and a strong thud (heartbeat).  Now im just analyzing everything.

Sweetheart, stop taking your pulse!  It sounds like you are becoming another cardiac neurotic!  It is normal for your heart rate to do that, and increase during the day esp with increased exercise.

The heart is beating slower while you are just waking up due to the fact that the heart beats much slower during sleep ( under 60 bpm while sleeping is not abnormal) as long as you arent experiencing dizziness i wouldnt worry, but it never hurts to mention concerns to a physician.
