Soreness in chest

for the last 4 days I have had inner chest pain.  I am 53.  Do not smoke and have a healthy heart as far as I know.  I have no cough or cold.  The pain seems to be deeper in my chest.  It is not sore when I press on my chest.  The pain is dull like a sore but does not always hurt.  I feel feverish sometimes but I register no temperature.  The feeling is like a low grade fever but I have none.  I noticed the gland under my right jaw was sore but didnt notice any swelling.  That has gone away and only lasted a day or two.  I have a hietal hernia and GERD.  I've only been taking over the counter meds with retadine in them.  Only yesterday I have tried prilosec otc.  Hoping this would help the soreness if it's related to GERD.  I dont remember lifting anything that may have caused this pain, and as I said before it's not noticable but at certain times.  Certain ways I move.  I can breath in deep and it doesnt hurt. I can force myself to cough and it doesnt hurt.   I am sceduled to go to the doctor in 10 days.  I take lisinopril without diauretic once a day for blood pressure and I take Clonazapham for anxiety and have for about 3 years now.  These are the only meds I take except for the OTC heartburn meds and tylenol occasionally.  I had a full cardio check up around 7 years ago.  Everything checked out fine.  I am overweight about 80 lbs.  Am working on that.  I drink very rarely.   I have been diagnosed with fatty liver.  Hope this info helps.  Thank you.

I am a 62 Yr Old Female who experiences the same type pain! I like you, take very little Meds! Diabetic Type 2 arthritis, & Fibromyalgia as well as Chronic Mono! So I have exerted myself to malaise in going to doctors, NPH's, to ER. Still nothing after extensive checks other than the Mono flare, and some Degenerative Joints including my back. The med that has helped me is Flexeril. I was finally told I have COSTOCHRONDRITIS. Now mind you.  That's a mouthful. Research it as well as bloodworm! Good Luck! Mississippi Raine
