Sound of Heartbeat in Right Ear

by George-R, Jan 18, 1999 12:00AM

I regularly hear the sound of my heartbeat in my right ear -- usually associated with the least physical effort.  Back in November, I had angioplasty with stents in the LAD.  But the sound of the heartbeat was even before that.  What could this mean?  Should I be worried?  I never mentioned this to my cardio, who I will see again in a week.

Dear George, thank you for your question.  I doubt this is a problem at all although I can't explain why your hear your heartbeat with your right ear.  I think you should check with your physician.
I hope you find this information useful.  Information provided in the heart forum is for general purposes only.  Only your physician can provide specific diagnoses and therapies. Please feel free to write back with additional questions.  Good luck!
