St Judes Valves

  : I am wondering how long the St Judes Valves are lasting in general.  I have the mitral and the aortic valves.  What are the main factors in general health contributes to re-replacement.

Dear Wes, thank you for your response to Kathy's question and for your own question.  It sounds like you have a complicated medical situation right now.  If your PT INR is always 3-4, then it would be unlikely that clots would form on your prosthetic valves.  However, I can't explain the TEE findings.  I suggest that you speak with your cardiologist again about this problem.
