Sternum Scar Question

I have a surgical scar down my sternum from open heart surgery. My last open heart was 1992 i was 4 years old, i am now 24. In the middle of my chest in between the breasts, the scar is red, it looks more like a rash. Its not oozing but it was bleeding very lightly about a week & a half ago. I do sweat a lot, i have a low tolerance for heat. Does anyone else have this problem? I been putting lotion on it & antibiotic cream. Please answer

Thank you

I think this warrants a visit to the Doctor. It could even be that since you have grown, the wires holding the sternum together have snapped and are irritating things. You could also have an infection. I would see a Doctor to be checked out and hopefully he will order an x-ray. It could just be the fact that it itches with perspiration, mine does at times. If the weather is warm, I take an antihistamine before going to sleep because I'm sure I used to scratch it a lot while asleep.
