I think light weight lifting is fine, but would avoid heavy weights, as this degree of exertion does not really benefit the heart. It is unlikely, however, that your
sternumSternum - view of the outside (anterior) (the bone that was
cutCuts and puncture wounds during heart surgery and wired together again) would cause any problems even if you did start lifting heavy weights, though rarely the
sternumSternum - view of the outside (anterior) can separate even this late. Also, if your blood pressure is persistently elevated, adopting a low salt diet and possibly medication may be indicated.
