This means that a portion of your heart showed a diminished area of blood flow during the stress part of your test. Was your stress test a Thallium of Myoview stress test? These are much more accurate in detecting heart disease than a normal stress test.

If the area has a diminished blood flow with no cell damage it means you most likely have not suffered a heart attack and the area can be opened with a stent, a very common procedure these days. You'll most likely get a cath first to validate the stress test findings and if they do see a blockage they will place a stent. Many members of the forum have been through this and perhaps one will respond.

One last thought to keep in mind, if they felt it was serious you would have been back in the hospital by now and the procedure would already be done, they would not take a risk. If they are waiting until next week to see you I'm sure it's not an immediate risk.

I hope some of this helps,

Good luck!

Jon

Apparently, there is some occlusion of a vessel that feeds blood/oxygen to a small area of heart muscle that is deficit of normal blood supply during exertion (physical, mental stress).  The condition can be treated with medication that dilates the vessels

If medication doesn't relieve angina (chest pain due to deficit blood flow), there can be a stent implant. I have a totally blocked vessel and 72% blocked vessel, etc. and for going on 5 years have no problems with medication and feel fine.  You are far from a life or death situation so don't worry.
