Stress test - abnormal? have questions please help

I'm a 46-year female on BPmeds for 8 years, cholestrol issues but great triglycirides though, now on aspirin and statins after stress test.  Main complaint was having unusal shortness of breath on stairs to the point that I would have to sit a minute until it just stopped feeling short of breath.  I'm out of shape. I also notice shortness of breath just sitting and talking.  When I exercise I don't feel any of these symptoms.  I'm in early menopause and have notice heart palps drs say normal.  Last night I started getting slight jaw pain, went away, back this morning and gone again.  No nausea. A few days after stress test I was hurrying in store & felt something twinge in my chest, but that it all for chest pain, maybe nerves after the test results.

Had nuclear stress test with injections for pictures before and after treadmill.  I felt fine/no pain during test lasted 9+ minutes, stopped only because I couldn't hang on to treadmill elevated at such an high incline. (I've done 25 minutes on flat treadmill recently with no pain/shortness of breathe), but only stairs are HARD for me.
RESULTS: images at rest, normal, also EKG readings throughout whole test normal, only ABNORMAL was IMAGE after treadmill showed possible mild to moderate blockage in front left part of the heart.  24 hour holitor monitor also normal.

Question #1: I know that some of these tests are under fire for showing women to have false positives.
With results mostly fine (EKG) could it be a false reading?   But why short of breath?

Cardiologist wanted to schedule a CT Angio (non invasive one) but insurance company DENIED it.
Said test was within normal range and I've exhibited NO pain on any notes taken in office visits.

Question #2 - isn't it true that MOST women dont have chest PAIN with heart?  Have to wonder why ins. co. blew results off.  Mom had triple bypass at 77 no pain symptoms, just shortness of breath.

Other tests: Calcium Score of ZERO 2007.  3 other Stress Echo Cardiogram in 10 years, NORMAL.

Now cardiologist ok'd me having D&C in 2 weeks after all this.  Said we can talk in a few weeks.

Is CT non-invasive best?  Will it give the big answers? If it can show blockage in heart wall and artery isn't that better than invasive CT that can't show what's in the 'walls'?

Is radiation from CT & stress test dangerous?  How about MRI heart scans, better???

Can statins and aspirin and bp meds and diet/exercise changes be enough if I have moderate blockage to just leave it?

Sorry for the questions but the docs I've seen never give me adequate time to ask more than 2 questions in an office visit, if I can't say it in 5 minutes, they are out the door.
