Supine Hypertension? What should I do?

Hi, I'm an 18-year-old with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (P.O.T.S.), and three days ago I was put on Midodrine to combat my dizziness and fainting when I stand. I have taken this medication exactly as prescribed (10 mg 3x a day). I now have an excruciating headache (I have had it for five hours so far....), stomach nausea, and my dizziness is even worse than it was before! Oh, and my vision is blurry... it's difficult for me to read words on my computer screen, which is not normal. I looked Midodrine up, and it said that a possible side effect is supine hypertension. It also said that with my symptoms, I should inform a doctor immediately. I asked my dad, though, and he said that I should just sleep it off. Is this a big deal? Do I need to do something? I feel better when I sit up, and whenever I lie down I feel like I'm going to die...
