Supplements and Palpitations

Is there any supplements out there that help the heart beat more regularly for those of us that suffer from palpitations?

I don't think so.  Avoidance and caffeine or alcohol may help.  There is some data that omega 3 fatty acids are sometimes helpful.

When I was on the ward last time (have DCM, andI get a lot of palps, with other symptoms too) and discussing optimum nutrition to help the heart, my doc did mention that bananas are very good. I dont remember what it is in bananas though - potassium I think?... and as a coffee fan, I have noticed a direct link to an increase in palps if I do indulge, not only in caffeine but even if I just eat a larger quantity of food, so I "graze" on small snack size portions now and have found that helpful with the palps... might help you too.

Thanks for your response.  I have pretty much stayed away from caffeinated beverages for 20 years.  Every once in a while if I do have an iced tea, I do notice an increase in palps.  Thanks for the banana reminder...it is the potassium!
