Supravalvular pulmonary stenosis from PA Banding

Posted By Angela Sharrock on July 17, 1999 at 11:32:02
Age 33
Height 5 4
Weight 18 stone
Bp usually 140/95, but recently elevated more to 180/120
Resting pulse rate 95 bpm
ECG shows Right bundle branch block
Chest X ray shows enlarged right ventricle.
Echocardiogram shows Supravalvular pulmonary stenosis, with the valve
itself looking normal. This is above the valve looking to be where the
Pulmonary artery was originally banded in 1966. I also had a repaired VSD in 1973 at the same time they removed the banding. Measurements from the Echocardiogram with the difference in pressures from ventricle to PA was peak of 100 and a mean of 60.
Questions: Have you know the PA banding to cause this problem before?
What might be able to be done to improve my breathing? How significant are the numbers from mild, moderate, severe?
Thanks Angela
