Sweating problem!

Hello, it's me again, Kristine a  26 (almost 27) mother of two children.  Within the past year I have noticed that I am not able to wear solid color tops due to the fact that I sweat under my arms so bad that you can see it very easily when wearing certain shirts.  I am overweight (approx 50 -60 lbs) but I have been overweight for years and this problem has just surfaced within the last year.  I notice it is worse on the right side, but both are noticeable.  What should I do!?!? What causes this?  I am starting into a Nursing program this coming fall and the thoughts of possible having to wear solid colored scrubs is FRIGHTENING!  I do have a history of anxiety problems, but that was way before this started happening.  Please advise...thank you very much.  BTW, I am currently taking 10 mg of Paxil daily.      Kristine  d:O)

Dear Kristine, thank you for your question.  It's good to hear from you again.  I can't think of any cause for increased sweating in the armpits other than heightened anxiety which is known to cause sweating.  I'm sorry for being vague, but I'm unable to find a cause of your problem after searching a few medical books.  Thus, I suggest that you visit your physician for this problem.
I hope you find this information useful.  Information provided in the heart forum is for general purposes only.  Only your physician can provide specific diagnoses and therapies. Please feel free to write back with additional questions.  Good luck!
