Sweating!!!!!!

Ok can someone please tell me how normal this is.  Yesterday while washing and then cleaning out the interior of my car, I notice that I sweated like I have never sweated before in my life!!  I mean by the time I got done, the hair that mainly surrounds my face, was drenched, and also under my arms!  I noticed that in the last year that I do, in fact, have excessive sweating in the armpit area, but I have never sweated on my face/head like that, I mean, I guess I didn't really feel as though I was exerting myself enough to be sweating like that.  Is this normal?!  BTW, I am a 27 year old female, with two kids.  I am overweight,I do have anxiety problems at times, do NOT smoke or drink, though and go to the doctor regulary, I recently went for my yearly OB/GYN appt. and I mentioned it to the woman who examined me about my excessive sweating under the arms, and she said that it is probably just coming with age, not real sure of her exact explanation, but it sounded as though it was normal!!  Do I have to live with this for the rest of my life?  Is it because I am overweight and out of shape, or could it be something more serious?!  Thanks for your help.
