Swelling at the harvested vein sight in leg

Hello Dr.  My Mother age 64 had her second double bypass surgery 8 weeks ago.  her first was 7 years ago.  Doctors used her mammory vein and a vein from her leg.  Although the sight seems to be healing quite well, she has noticed swelling (Fluid) at the base near her ankle.  I felt it and the area was warm but she has no temperature.  In the two hours that I was visiting,
she said it felt like a rush of fluid and the swelling went away.  This just began happening.  Do you have any suggestions?

There will be some swelling in that leg due to the fact that the vein and lymphatic system have been disrupted.  This will gradually get better but she may have some swelling in that leg the rest of her life.
