Symptomatic short runs of SVT.

Only last week I had a 48-hour holter monitor which showed Symptomatic short runs of SVT and have bben put on 40mgs b.d. Can anyone explain in simply language what this means. frankie1270

I too had a 48 hours holter showing short run of SVT plus PAC .
For the short moment I get SVT (3/4 seconds) It makes me feel unwell
It is a really horrible feeling,the memory of it lingers in your mind for a week.
I get this about once a month. My colesterol is good, no illness or
anything else and been practising lot of sport since my teens.
I used to just get PAC and PVC 25 years ago (I am 53 now)
but since then these irregularity of the heart are just getting worse
I tried everything Hawthorn berries, Coenzyme Q10, camomille tea, I dont
drink alchool or smoke or caffeine drinks, yet i still get them.
My cardiologist says nothing to worry about as he gets them too as long
as you dont have ischemic heart diseases.
Who know anyway ? they will never go away. just have to live with these damn things

By the way my doc suggest I take no medicine, but upon my asking he gave me a course of Flecaneide 50mg which i still have not touched.
