TAA & surgical procedure advancements?

Hi all,

I heard vague reference to some advances in surgical procedures to repair an ascending aortic aneurysm, which I have. One doctor seemed to indicate that advances now allow endovascular repair of the ascending aorta, something I thought wasn't possible in my various research on reputable sites.

Can anyone confirm, or deny this? I'm still thinking this will need to be repaired via open chest procedure when the time comes.
