Yes, I had that about 2 years before having a stent put in my RCA. And, as I posted in my reply to fluffypurcat, I was having chest pains this morning that I believe to be a mild heart attack. One of the things that bothered me is that when I had the strong chest pains I would start tingling all over.

Good luck, Ally

i do not think they are related! usually tingling isan  indication of mild nerve damage! i am really looking forword to know to how degree it is common in such cases! i undergo tingling often, i just do not give it much attention!

It would take a thorough exam to find the cause for tingling fingers. There are too many options. Usually it is nerve related as omanlover stated. Whether in the arm or neck, it varies. I get tingling fingers but it's from my Raynauds ( a circulatory issue with tiny vasospams that cause my hands and feet to turn gray or white). So it will be a case by case basis.

I told this to my Dr. about ~2 1/2 yrs ago.  Whenever I walked for too long my feet and hands would tingle, and get cold and turn color.  Almost like a numbing feeling (like the way your leg feels when falling alseep).  I did have high blood pressure but, is controlled with meds.

In 2006 I had all the test done and everything pretty much checked out.  All of the EKGs I have had done say "old anterior infarction" which probably happened the year I collapsed and my heart stopped, stopped breathing and was brought back to get sick.  Just went to bed and was never checked though untill BP got to bothersome.  Now I'm having issues again that "seem" to be heart related.  Hopefully everything checks out fine but, will let you know the results.  GOOD Question.

I don't know if this goes along with it or not but also just curious:   How many people when they wash their hair have to put there arms down in the middle because they get too heavy and numb like, before finishing to rinse?

I also have numbness and tingles in my left hand/fingers.  Mostly in my pinky and ring finger and when I brought it up to my cardio he told me that more than likely it is related to nerve.  There are cases where if blood flow is being restricted it can cause numbness/paralysis like in the case of a stroke/TIA.  Not sure about cardiac conditions.  What condition have you been diagnosed with?

In terms of people stating that it happens with a heart attack I almost am lead to believe that perhaps the body's fight/flight response kicking in and it is causing those sensations.  I don't know because I never had a MI, but I do know that when I had REALLY bad anxiety 5 years ago I would constantly get numbness in different parts of my body and I was told that it is from adrenaline.

Like I said if blood flow is being restricted then yes, you can have numbness, but that wouldn't be the only sign.  The affected area would be blue/purple and cold.  Numbness and tingling on it's own would lead me to believe more nerve related or possibly anxiety.

Wish you luck!!
