Test was inconclusive as blood

Dear Sandra,
Sounds like you are getting great care and advice; the "one down the throat" I believe you to mean a TEEchocardiogram, and this as well as a cath are likely both appropriate and certainly will provide information if not answers to your health problems.
Nerves are funny in that they can be damaged and actually cause pain, not just numbness and weakness, however this is a question for a neurologist not a cardiologist.
