I am a 21 year old female, I am in good health but recently I have been experiencing some problems. But I am not sure if they are all related, and currently can not take too much time off from work. My syptoms are as follows....
- waking up in middle of night to numb/tingling hands, typically not both hands at the same time.
-shortness of breath from just walking up 13 steps
-sudden feelings of exhaustion..sitting at work and feeling all 'energy' drain from me, and i cuold instantly fall asleep.
-overtired...even if I just slep all night, and took a nap..always feeling run down or tired
- 'heart pains'...feelings sharp pain in center-left side of chest... last for a few minutes at a time...each time
I should also add, I am not overweight or out of shape. I just want some insight...thank you
Hello, it is not possible to diagnose your collection of symptoms, but perhaps I can provide some help. It's not clear that your symtoms reflect heart trouble. Certain heart problems can cause shortness of breath, such as congestive heart failure, heart rhythm problems, or angina. The best next step would be a visit to your primary care doctor. There, a careful physical exam, and an EKG to check your heart rhythm would be very helpful. Also, it would be important to check your blood work. Your shortness of breath and fatigue could be due to a thyroid problem or anemia, for example. Best of luck.
