Tired of Procedures Without Results

My husband recently had his fourth ablation in seven years for flutter.  He has also had a mini maze procedure for fib.  Last September, he received a pacemaker.  He is still experiencing an arrhythmia.  After the last ablation, the doctor said he noticed his heart had enlarged since the last procedure.

Have you run across anything similar.  When is it time to look for a different electrophysiologist?

Yes, as it sounds as if he very likely has a left sided post MAZE flutter. These can be very difficult to treat and require expertise found only at the largest centers. I would recommend that you call the elctrophysiology department of either the Cleveland Clinic, University of Michigan,University of Pennsylvania or the Mayo clinic. They have some people with expertise in this area and may be able to help your husband.
