Tricuspid Vegetation
I recently had an Echocardiogram.  The results showed tricuspid vegetation and my symptoms include the recent onset of PVCs and increased blood pressure.

Calcium score is 0 and sodium, potassium, and magnesium look good.

Doc thinks vegetation is an old inactive infection.  I pressed for more tests and he ordered a blood culture.

He was ready to sweep the whole thing under the rug and wanted to talk about diet changes to lower my cholesterol but I want some difinitive answers on what is stuck to the side of my tricuspid valve.

Is it unusual that his did not put me in the hospital for antibiotic therapy as soon as the vegetation was found and that he was ready to ignore it?
