Triple Bypass

Hi my dad went for a triple bypass about 3 weeks ago, he had complications breathing as he was a bad smoker, he was on the ventilator for about 6 to 7 days and there after got a little better and got dischared. on the same day he was discharged he got home and started bleeding so they rushed him back to the hospital and found out he has alot of fluid, he went for a op to then put a sponge and a drainage pipe to help with the fluid.

i was told by my granny he will be discharged this week but he will be coming home with the drainage sysmtem, is this a serious matter? i am really worried as i am far away to really know whats going on with my dad.
