Ultrasound showed enlarged Aorta & left ventricle.

I would like some input as to a possible cause of my condition?  Have I lived with this condition all my life?  Could this condition cause a blood flow restriction to my brain since a child?
46 yrs old, male.  About 1 yr ago I  experienced a decline in memory and cognitive ability, legs ached and felt heavy especially when exercising.  MRI scan-subcortical lesions to frontal lobe and white matter- possibly Ischemic, no head injury.  Ceretec scan-No memory disorder.  Findings consistent with Vascular disease etc.  Put on asprin and Pravachol for precaution.   Had an Ultrasound of heart on 29/5/08, showed enlarged Aorta and Left ventricule.  Never had High blood pressure, taken 120/90.  No chest or back pain.  No shortness of breath or any other symptons.
Of note- Occassionally through childhood, adolescent and adult years when did high cardio exercise found it hard to get a breathe(scary), always ice cold feet.  The Doctor listened to heart & no problem.  12 lead ECG O.K. heart rate 54. He believes sleep apnea possibility creating high blood pressure.  Had Sleep Apnea test 6 yrs ago and was negative.

I think the technician said the Aorta should be 38 and its 45.  Was a bit put off by her constant comments of this isn't right and it shouldn't be doing that, do u get chest pains etc.  Will make sure I have a written  list of questions for the cardiologist when I go back for the stress test.  Can you suggest any I should ask him?  Workout 5 days a week at the gym.

What was/is the size of the aorta and left ventricle?  Nevertheless, it wouldn't be a cause for a decline in mental facility.  The low heart rate is somewhat unusual unless you are in very good physical condition.  It is possible and the worst case scenario is that you may have experienced TIA's (transient and tiny blood clot to the brain) or a minor stroke.
