Underarm discomfort post MI & stent

Hi, I am a newbie to the forum.

Two weeks ago suffered an infero-posterior STEMI and received prompt first aid and primary angioplasty.  I have had two stents inserted in my right coronary artery. On discharge, after two days, my echo was good and my EF 65%.

Now to my query, from time to time I am having some underarm discomfort (can't call it a pain) and a slight numbness in my left arm. I have used GNT spray which seems to alleviate things. Is this to be expected or is it a symptom of restenosis or anything else?  Should I be contacting my doctor?

Thank you

You're welcome
They will need to follow you up with an x-ray to make sure things get back to normal.

Thanks for your advice, I went to my GP and had a good session with him, he said that the problem that I was having was pericarditis and that a dose of ibuprofen would relieve things.  It did and I am now feeling considerably better.

certainly the right medications. A wise choice to see the Doctor :)

Thank you for your feedback - my current meds are: aspirin, bisoprolol, ramipril & prasugerel.

I have booked to see the doc tomorrow.

If GTN is relieving the symptoms, although it's not an accurate test, I would consult with your Doctor. One of your stents could be forming scar tissue, but I doubt if it's a thrombus due to your medication ( or the medication that you SHOULD be on).
It really is better to be safe than sorry.
