Unkown diagnosis

Hi,
I have been having increasinlgy bad chest problems for 8 months now, i have seen a cardiologist, G.Ps and been to emergency multiple times now and i feel like one one will listen.
When i gave birth to my daughter i had to have an emergency c-section and put too sleep under a general anesthetic, thats were it all begins.
When i woke up from the operation i could feel a heaviness on my chest but didn't really think twice about it, i have mild asthma and i smoke so i thought it could be due to that.
But as a few weeks past, the first thing that set it off was i put a bra on and had this pain just spread through my arms all through my chest to the other arm. My heart felt fine i was just having these pains and i layed down for about an hour and it went away but after i felt absolutely stuffed like it just took everything out of me. Then a few more weeks passed and i could feel my breathing getting labored, sometimes i was fine and sometimes it feels like i cant breathe and my pulse goes up. Before all this happened im sure i had a normal pulse, now usually my pulse can be up to 120 P/M (while resting) when i seen the cardiologist he ran ECG, stress test, ultra sound and i also had a blood test he couldnt find any abnormalities other then "my heart raced abit" but couldnt even give me a reason for that. Recently i realised my breasts are swelling on the inside they feel qiut hard and i get pains in my arms, under arms and breast plates. At one stage when i would breathe it would feel as though my heart was jumping out my throat, my pulse races like crazy and alot of the time i cant do anything because my hearts going so hard and heavy it just takes all my energy to sit there and breathe. I struggle to take care of my child because my energy levels are always down. And im pregnant again. (Everything i mentioned starting happening BEFORE i feel pregnant again) I just need advice or some sort of idea of what im dealing with. I dont want my children to have no mother because the doctors told me i was fine and i wasn't. I don't feel fine i can feel its not right i just need some help.
Thank you

My daughter had a heart transplant at 22. What you are describing, doesn't sound like transplant is in your future at all. The other woman who had the transplant, more than likely had Postpartum Cardiomyopathy which sometimes happens. Believe me, there would be no question about having that diagnoses. I tend to wonder if you do not have some long term inflammation due to having the tube put down your throat during your C-Section? Also SVT is not a rate of 120 bpm. SVT hve rates over 160 bpm. It sounds like you have Sinus Tachycardia. See about having a Holter placed on or an Event Monitor.

I would also mention to him (SVT)  It's where your heart races for no reason.

Rachel,

I have a friend where I work at and his daughter had experienced the same thing.  She ended up needing a heart transplant.   Hers was something about it only happens in childbirth.  So it may be different from yours.  But I would insist that your primary doctor send you to a cardiologist at least.
