Unusually thick blood from skin tear in someone with aortic stenosis

My mom bumped into a doorjamb and had two bad skin tears.....she has aortic stenosis and the blood coming from the tears was thick and stringy....is this something we should be concerned about and what might it indicate? The only blood thinner she is on is a baby aspirin...

Clacin,

The main thing you should be worried about is the local care of the skin tears. If they are significant, she should be examined by a health professional. Interpretation of the blood appearance is difficult from a would and has little bearing on her stenosis. It is common for patients on aspirin to bleed in excess to woulds.

good luck
