Upper left chest tighness

I have what I can only describe as a tightness in my upper left chest. I is between my left nipple and and armpit. I have always heard that a "tighness in your chest" is a warning sign of a heart attack, So I have started reading further on symptoms of a heart attack and nothing describes what I have. It has been on and off for 6 months now, usually for a few hours, then it goes away for a couple weeks. It has never moved, intensity has never changed, it is mild, doesnt distract me from what I am doing, is not associated with physical activity, its just there. When it first happened I had shortness of breath, but I am sure it was anxiety driven, because I started worrying I was having a heart attack and started getting shortness, but then I realized what I was doing and calmed myself down and havent had it since. After that I never really worried about it, and just waited for it to pass. Also I have access to a blood pressure machine at work and when this happens I have taken my bloodpressure and everything is the same as it normally is about 125/65 with a hr of 75
My old family physician moved on and closed his office about a year ago, so I have an appointment with a new one in 4 days and I was planning on bringing this up then. What concerns me is I had these symptoms 3 days this week so I am wondering if I should step things up.

I dont know all of the specifics of your medical history, but what you describe is very concerning and could certainly be angina.  

You need a good history and physical with your internist.  If the pain comes on again with increasing frequency or at rest you should seek medical attention prior to your visit to your physician.

Without knowing the specifics of your history I cant make other recomendations.

hi eveybody. could you plz tell me. what does Hyperkinetic heart mean???and the best management? i have a forcible heart beats. thats palpable by my hands. normal ECG but sort of sinus tachycardia. . Normal ECHO. no anemia . ESR within normal range.. normal thyroid function test..
