Urgent : Coronary Angiography Reports


Angiography reports after a heart attack has:

LAD : 70% lesion in proximal segment followed by 99% segment in mid segment with TIMI-2 flow

LMCA : normal

LCX : normal

RCA : normal.

Age : 50 yrs.

Is this alarming situation ?

The best person to ask is your cardiologist, but 99% means that artery is almost completely blocked and the LAD supplies the blood to your left ventricle.  If it stops, so do you.

If this is a current report your doctor should follow up with you soon.  If he doesn't, call back and follow up.
