Vagal nerve

by Danny_Jones60, Feb 16, 2009 01:07PM
I had a spell that put me in the hospital last week. I walking out the door when i got  a heart and left arm shock i never had before. Got the 3 p's, puck, poop and  pee all as i was starting to pass out. i did a nitro and 2 asprins, went to ER and was addmitted. Stress test next a/m was  ok. Doctor, told me  that the Vagal nerve causes this. Is this a fact or just something to get you out of the hospital?  I have CHD and one very light attack back in 83 which shows on the Q wave. I have had spinal sack, repair from a wreck i had in 06 and have problems with the nerve that works the lungs. Could this be more damage from my accident? I have had gurd (gerd) since the 70's, but take meds to control it and it has been no trouble.  This is very scary thing this vagal nerve. Sure don't want to go through that again!

This could be a vagal response.  If it is it is unrelated to the previous accident.  More importantly, this could also be a lethal arrhythmia related to the heart and the previous heart attack.  This assess which one it is you should have an EP study sooner than later.
