Yea it is totally. It has been a hard few months. I am trying to stay positive I feel ok for the most part the only thing I feel is the side effects from the stupid meds but I want to continue to breast feed so it's worth it. How are you feeling?

The New echo will be fine. It will put your mind at rest. I know its been working serious overtime lately. The physical upheaval of having your Daughter will have settled down a good bit. At least you will have peace of mind. . . thats what you need right now

Yes it's a beta blocker it's has worked wonders for my dad and brother in law! Seems everyone has high blood pressure in my family.  But I think the doctors are waiting to see what my next echo shows before changing any meds.

Not familiar with Atenolol. Presumably its a beta Blocker?
The 2,400mg dose of Labetholol had me drowsy, feeling wrecked. I wanted to pull over car and have a sleep! I even had a nap in the Parking lot at the supermarket!!
Current dose is lower. I am investigating secondary causes for my BP.
The docs are convinced its secondary, Conns is the probable, but its difficult to diagnose

Yea same here. I get really bad headaches to the point I think my blood pressure is high so I take it and it's low.  The Labatelol lowers my pulse too much I think sometimes too!  I take 100mg twice a day and my pulse ranges from 50-60 usually. If you take 2400 a day wjT does it make your pulse? I'm hoping they change my meds after I'm done breast feeding maybe to atenolol? What do you know that med??

Yes it doesn't make sense to me either  I was on lisinipril before getting pregnant then they put me on another blood pressure med because I was trying to get pregnant and then when I saw the OB he said omg you can't be taking that and changed me to Labatelol but now I'm afraid to go off of it because the palpatations scare the hell out of me! They were almost constant until I finally put myself back on it.  Have you tried nifedipine? It does seem to work

Yes the stopping of labetholol is very difficult. At one point my doc tried to ween me off it, it went fine till we eventually stopped the last daily tablet. Then the palps and tacicardia started to set in, so we had to re start it. upping the dose. . . hey all do it. It drives me mad. Surely if a dose of  two or three a day wont work, how will 5 or 6 of the same tablet succeed?

Oh wow! I'm in California !! I always wanted to go to Ireland!! Kiss the Blarney Stone  lol but I know not to lol I heard people **** on it cuz of the tourists  ha ha! Anyways I know nothing about heart stuff just what I have read online. There is a lot of contradicting things out there I make myself crazy! Blood pressure is a scary thing! After my daughter was born my blood pressure was so high I was having panic attacks from it being so high. I hate doctors too!  I think labetalol is not a strong medication. I took it my whole pregnancy and it worked  great but the it wasn't working my blood pressure was 180/120 and they kept upping my dose and then finally added nifedipine I was off the Labatelol for awhile but I started having heart palpatations but now that stopped since I been back on it.

I got sick just 2 years ago. you soon learn. I am an ordinary Joe. I am in Ireland.  I Hate docs, they just always want to double the dose when the numbers wont go down. They ask about side effects, but dont do anything.
All 5 are for BP. Its resistant. I am still investigating Conns syndrome and am thinking i have it. One of my meds is  prescribed for conns and for BP. . MY BP went down by 80mm hg when i started taking it. But  i hate taking it....big time

Thanks I try. I have my good days and then I have days where I'm so freaked out that I have panic attacks. I really like labetalol it's the nifedipine I don't care much of it gives me red skin among other things. They told me that Labatelol was not a very good BP med. haven't you tried others? Or maybe your pregnant and can't? I just realized I have no idea about you lol  my little one is going great! I have a son to be 12 year old too so I'm starting all over again but I love it!
