Ventricular septal defect
Ventricular tachycardia remodeling using the Dor procedure goes back to 1998. At that time Dor was experimental and not available for patients outsided clinical trial settings. Has that changed, and what has been your experience in terms of benefit to the patient, success rate overall, etc. Might a patient who is 76 with an EF in the low to mid 20s, scarring from an MI 23 years ago, but moderately active be a possible candidate, and what might he expect in the way of improvement? As I mentioned, he is able to engage in very minimal activity, but tires extremely quickly with minimal exertion. If this procedure doesn't seem a good fit are there other possibilities. Sincerely, 135711.
