deedle --- yeah that makes sense. just wanted to make sure you know. how are things?
Sorry. I meant to type.
IF it were some type of arrhythmia it would start suddenly.
Hi,
I think it were a run of some kind of arrhythmia it would start abruptly rather than slowly increasing.
Hi Michael .Momto said it all well, I just wanted to add take good care of yourself, good to see you feeling better.
thanks momto. just wanted to find out if a rate that high can happen due to nervousness rather than a short run of some arrythmia or something. i'm feeling a lot better today . thanks again
I think you're probably right that it was your nerves that helped push your HR up. It doesn't sound serious since it only lasted a few seconds. According to wikipedia,"[t]achycardia is a form of cardiac arrhythmia which refers to a rapid beating of the heart. By convention the term refers to heart rates greater than 100 beats per minute in the adult patient. Tachycardia may be a perfectly normal physiological response to stress. However, depending on the mechanism of the tachycardia and the health status of the patient, tachycardia may be harmful, and require medical treatment."
Hope you are feeling better today.
