I'm 38, in pretty good shape and have no know history of heart illness in my family. I do get PVCs on and off from time to time but have been told they are benign. I had an echo and holter done 2-3 years ago...they said I was fine.
I was 5 minutes into my treadmill run the other night when out of nowhere I felt a very sharp, piercing like pain in my chest (and I felt it in my upper right back, behind the shoulder blade too, at the exact same time, which was odd). It was VERY fast, like less than 1 second. It scared me but I continued to run for another 40 minutes and everything was fine. Nothing was different that day before or after that chest pain.
Does this sound like a heart problem? Is it possible that a PVC could cause such pain? I've had thousands of PVCs in my life and while they are annoying never has one ever felt painful like that. Plus I don't *think* I had a PVC during this chest pain but then again the pain was so noticeable I could have had a PVC and just not noticed it (due to the pain).
Anyway it was SCARY! Thoughts?
Thanks,
James
Happy Holidays!
